In this week’s CCJ Tech Shorts, Truckstop.com adds route-based quoting, Netradyne combines fuel scoring and driver coaching, Transportation Insight optimizes shipper routing and more.
• ProMiles’ route intelligence has been integrated to power route-based quoting directly within the Truckstop.com Heavy Haul Load Board. This expansion of Truckstop.com’s partnership with ProMiles connects freight opportunities with route and permit data to help carriers better price oversize and overweight loads.
As carriers evaluate available freight, the system applies jurisdiction-specific permit rules and calculates multi-state permitting costs based on the actual route the load would take, decreasing under-quoting risk and increasing margin protection.
• Netradyne, a provider of AI-powered fleet safety and performance solutions, has launched a new capability that aligns safety and fuel efficiency.
Fuel Scoring and Coaching ranks driver and group performance using idling, MPG, drive time and behavior data so drivers can see how they rank against peers, understand which behaviors impact fuel usage, and earn recognition for improvement through performance-based rewards.
Fleet managers gain visibility into fuel performance by driver and vehicle through a unified dashboard. Automated detection of fuel-wasting behaviors provides video context, while insights like each driver’s MPG, idling time, vehicle type, terrain, and city vs. highway driving give managers the full picture.
This additional context enables managers to address root causes and drive measurable improvement with fair assessments and personalized coaching.
• Logistics and technology provider Transportation Insight has rolled out BeonLink.
Purpose-built for shippers operating in high-volume, multi-node networks, the software-based, API-driven integration layer enables shippers to compare parcel, ground freight, LTL and truckload options in real time based on shipment characteristics, service requirements and business rules to optimize routing and the execution path for every order.
• Halfpricesoft.com’s latest ezPaycheck payroll software has been designed to better support trucking companies. The software gives companies an in-house payroll option with direct control to accurately handle the variations of driver pay without delays.
In addition to handling differential pay, ezPaycheck enables users to set up tax options and calculate payroll entirely in-house. The software supports federal, state, and local tax calculations, along with deductions for Medicare, insurance and 401(k) contributions.
The software also gives companies instant access to payroll data, helping them track labor costs, forecast expenses, and make informed operational decisions.
• A fleet management software provider has transitioned its sub-brands under one name. Bestpass by Fleetworthy and Drivewyze by Fleetworthy are now just Fleetworthy.
The company’s products are organized under three core solutions designed for fleets and owner-operators:
- Toll Management (formerly Bestpass by Fleetworthy)
- Weigh Station Bypass (formerly Drivewyze by Fleetworthy)
- Safety and Compliance (formerly CPSuite by Fleetworthy)
Initial updates include shared access points, aligned application interfaces, and reporting integration between toll management and weigh station bypass solutions. Additional enhancements and integrations across safety and compliance capabilities will be introduced over the coming months toward a fully unified product experience.
