00:00 In this week’s CCJ Tech Shorts, Traton Group announces it will implement a new software-defined vehicle platform starting in 2028. Also, two fleet management platforms introduce new capabilities and more.
00:25 Traton Group and physical AI company Applied Intuition have rolled out a new software-defined vehicle platform that will operate on all high-performance computers in Traton’s new vehicle architecture across its four brands, including International.
The Traton One OS platform aims to prevent downtime. The system's unified data access is designed to enable predictive maintenance capabilities that allow fleet operators to identify and address potential mechanical issues before they lead to breakdowns. Additionally, the platform's adaptive middleware is designed to serve as a foundation for autonomous driving systems, enabling Traton to layer autonomous capabilities onto the same architecture over time.
Rollout across all new trucks is targeted for 2028.
01:12 Fleet management platform Motive has launched a new solution for customers in Mexico. Motive Analytics is a new AI-powered solution built directly into the Motive dashboard that unifies data across safety, fuel, maintenance, telematics, and more. It automates reports and delivers real-time answers with no coding required, addressing the need for visibility into operational data as cross-border freight movement grows.
The solution also includes AI Answers, a conversational AI designed for physical operations. Like ChatGPT, it is designed to understand natural language questions and instantly surface answers from the data Motive brings together across an organization’s operations.
01:54 Fleet management software provider Spotter AI has introduced new updates to its AI-powered hiring, screening, and compliance platform.
The update to the Sentinel platform introduces a digital driver application that streamlines recruiting, compliance, and onboarding into one workflow. Carriers can create branded applications, collect driver information and documents, and distribute forms securely across multiple channels. Built in automation captures consent, generates required legal documents, and instantly creates complete driver profiles, giving recruiters real time visibility to quickly review, verify, and advance candidates with greater speed and accuracy.
The update also includes enhanced driver screening with automated verification, allowing carriers to confirm work history, safety performance, and required disclosures through secure, structured requests to previous employers.
02:44 AI fleet safety platform Nauto is now available through the Geotab Order Now program, providing access to its dash cam solutions via the Geotab Marketplace.
Built on more than 6 billion AI-processed driving miles, Nauto's platform uses computer vision and contextual data to proactively identify risky driving behaviors, helping fleets reduce collisions, improve driver safety, and lower operational costs.
Nauto’s safety insights are already integrated into the MyGeotab platform to help fleet operators unify driver risk data with vehicle and operational intelligence.
