New liftgate charging system

Purkeys’ Direct and Select liftgate charging systems are designed to increase charge time and feature easy-to-understand indicator lights that show if the liftgate batteries and charging sources are operational or not. When installed, the automatic systems use a DC-to-DC converter to charge the liftgate batteries and monitor the vehicle’s available electrical resources without compromising the source batteries’ ability to start the engine.

The Direct system uses a single source as the liftgate’s charging source and allows users to choose from a variety of path options. The advanced Select system can choose from multiple charging sources and chooses the best available source from any of the tractor’s configurations, including the dual/single combo, reefer and 7-way options.
