Orange EV, a manufacturer of electric terminal trucks, introduced at the ATA's Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Nashville this week a new 7.5-year warranty that covers battery, powertrain, and electric components, representing the most comprehensive coverage in the industry and assuring financial and operational benefits for fleets.

A more than 7-year warranty well exceeds the norm for terminal trucks, which usually max out at two years or 6,000 hours. Orange EV coverage extends to 30,000 hours and coverage spans critical systems including the powertrain, motors, controllers, wire harnesses, cables, and key electric components.

Orange EV trucks have been in commercial operation since 2015, logging nearly 8 million cumulative miles of operation with individual trucks exceeding 30,000 hours of operation. Tuesday's announcement was the second terminal truck announcement at this year's TMC Annual Meeting.
