The American Trucking Associations’ Highway Watch program will provide anti-terrorism and safety training to all transportation professionals attending the Great American Trucking Show, to be held in the Dallas Convention Center Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 25-27.

The training will be held every hour on the hour whenever the exhibit floor is open. Those attending the show and wishing to participate in one of the training sessions should register at the Highway Watch booth in the lobby.

Highway Watch is a national safety and security program that utilizes the skills, experience and “road smarts” of America’s truckers to help prevent terrorists from using large vehicles or hazardous cargoes as weapons.

The program is administered by ATA under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

More than 100,000 transportation professionals nationwide have received anti-terrorism and safety training through Highway Watch since the program was formed in 1998.
