Navtrak, a Salisbury, Md.-based provider of GPS fleet productivity solutions, has announced the latest release of its Street Suite GPS monitoring, mapping and reporting software.

Street Suite 4.0 incorporates numerous enhancements developed with input from its thousands of fleet users, Navtrak’s own team of programmers and its technical and customer support teams. As a result, it features the latest available technology in real-time GPS tracking and powerful, user-friendly reporting, according to the company.

Navtrak says fleet owners, and dispatchers in particular, will find many useful new features, such as the ability to place customer locations as “points” on an interactive map, enabling accurate reporting on arrival and departure times, and the length of time spent at a particular site. In addition, Street Suite 4.0’s new Google-like reports interface enables the user to monitor employee vehicle usage outside of scheduled timeframes, and to view vehicle engine-hours statistics for proactive maintenance, the company says.

“Today’s business owner is under tremendous competitive pressure,” says Ron Hodges, Navtrak CEO. “For example, with the rising price of fuel hurting their bottom line, most are faced with the tough decision to pass along the price increase to customers or back it out of their profits. As a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to be efficient, and to find an edge against your competitors. Street Suite 4.0 is the only GPS fleet monitoring application that does just that by solving real business problems.”

Street Suite 4.0 also offers a host of valuable plug-ins and reports, including a preventative maintenance module, after-hours reporting to monitor employee usage outside of allowed times, and an exclusive report that tracks – in real time – quarterly fuel taxes for commercial vehicles under the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). Street Suite 4.0 software is cross-browser compatible and is available for Microsoft WindowsXP and Windows2000 users.
