Beginning on Jan. 1, 2006, Sitton Motor Lines will begin paying all drivers and contractors based on practical miles. This will result in more paid miles for drivers and also help drivers reach fuel and mileage bonuses, according to SML.

The Joplin, Mo.-based carrier also recently announced a monetary incentive for company drivers hauling in the Northeast region; drivers can earn an extra five cents per mile when they run in that area of the country.
