Custom Truck Sales in Regina, Sask., was named 2007 Kenworth Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in San Diego. Kansas City was named 2007 Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year.

“We’re very honored to be chosen for this prestigious award from among the many outstanding Kenworth dealerships,” says Brent Leach, president of Custom Truck Sales. “This recognition is a great testament to the hard work of our dedicated employees, who provide a high level of service to customers on a daily basis.”

Custom Truck Sales was chosen as Kenworth Dealer of the Year from among Kenworth’s six Gold Award winners for 2007, which also includes Edmonton Kenworth (Edmonton, Alb.), Inland Kenworth – U.S. (California, Arizona and New Mexico), Kenworth of South Texas (San Antonio), Kenworth Sales Co. (Salt Lake City) and MHC Kenworth (Oklahoma).

“Custom Truck Sales had an excellent year in 2007 by selling the entire Kenworth heavy- and medium-duty truck product line and providing excellent customer support,” says Bob Christensen, general manager of Kirkland, Wash.-based Kenworth and Paccar vice president.

Custom Truck Sales has been a Kenworth dealer since 1965 and operates dealerships in Regina, Saskatoon and Estevan, Sask., and Winnipeg, Manitoba. The dealer isn’t new to the awards podium; Custom Truck Sales won Kenworth silver awards in 2003, 2005 and 2006.

The other four Kenworth dealer finalists recognized in the medium-duty category at the meeting were Inland Kenworth – U.S. (California, Arizona and New Mexico), Kenworth of Birmingham (Ala.), MHC Kenworth (Texas) and Kenworth Toronto.

“It’s an outstanding honor for MHC Kenworth – Kansas City to be recognized as Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year,” says Tim Murphy, MHC Kenworth president. “We have a strong, dedicated emphasis on serving medium-duty truck customers, and we are proud of the dealership’s efforts in providing excellent customer satisfaction every day. We offer all the Kenworth PremierCare programs, extended parts and service hours, mobile maintenance, and now we offer the new Kenworth T170 Class 5, T270 Class 6 and T370 Class 7 models, which perform well in a wide range of medium-duty applications.”
