SkyBitz, a remote asset tracking and information management service provider, announced that C.R. England, the nation’s largest refrigerated truckload carrier, has selected SkyBitz as its integrated asset-tracking solution provider for its reefer and dry van equipment.

C.R. England specializes in moving temperature-sensitive freight such as fresh produce, meat, dairy products, beverages and pharmaceuticals. The Salt Lake City-based company says it will deploy SkyBitz Global Locating System and Reefer Monitoring and Control solutions on its entire fleet of dedicated trailers.

“We selected SkyBitz for their best-in-class solution to improve trailer utilization and increase trailer loads, regardless of trailer type,” says Chad England, president of C.R. England. “Temperature stability is paramount, and this solution provides constant monitoring and control of each trailer. Additionally, the SkyBitz solution tracks our fleet in Mexico very reliably.”

Skybitz says C.R. England will be able to manage its fleet through the SkyBitz InSight software application by viewing its multiple asset types in real time and running customizable management and operational reports for its fleets on a unified platform.

“Demonstrating return on investment was powerful to C.R. England,” says Bernard Borghei, executive vice president of sales and operations for SkyBitz, based in Sterling, Va. “Shipping food cargo requires constant monitoring and securitization. Our advanced asset-tracking solutions combined with our best-in-class customer care help C.R. England realize unprecedented customer responsiveness and operational efficiencies.”

SkyBitz says its integrated solution uses proprietary GLS technology and PAR Logistics Management Systems for efficient asset utilization, total load visibility, improved logistics process and cargo security.
