ATA said MC&E — which will assess economic outlooks, the political climate on Capitol Hill, transportation policy initiatives and the impact on motor carriers — is the trucking industry’s premier event, showcasing new technologies and business services, with more than 150 exhibitors displaying everything from trucks and engines to software and support services. With abundant networking opportunities and social events in Las Vegas, ATA said MC&E is also a place to cement the personal contacts that make a business successful.

In addition to Gill’s performance, other highlights will include:

  • Three General Sessions focused on the state of the trucking industry, environmental sustainability and how going green can be profitable, and how onboard safety systems can result in safer trucks, drivers and highways;
  • 16 educational programs targeted to provide practical information to implement in a business;
  • Political analyst Brit Hume, one of America’s top journalists, who will provide insight into what’s going on “Inside Washington”; and
  • A panel of blue-ribbon economists, moderated by FOX financial analyst Stu Varney, who will offer a frank assessment of the current business environment and assess possibilities for recovery for the industry.
