Garmin enters truck GPS market

Garmin announced that it has entered the ‘commercial truck GPS’ market with the introduction of a truck driver’s GPS, the Nuvi 465T. Attributes such as bridge heights, Hazmat guidelines, and road weight restrictions that are pre-programmed into Garmin’s Nuvi 465T.

Garmin’s Truck GPS speaks the street names and directions out loud, so there is no need to look away from the road while driving, the company says. The Nuvi 465T is a Bluetooth GPS For Commercial Truck Drivers. It lets the driver answer their Bluetooth-enabled cell phone with a touch of a screen on the GPS, and have a ‘no hands needed’ conversation.
