Greatwide Logistics Services, a national provider of nonasset-based transportation and third-party logistics services, announced that its Distribution Logistics team will expand its current relationship with LG Electronics USA, a global provider of consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances.

LG Electronics has been a customer of Greatwide since 2006, operating out of the firm’s facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The new contract will include additional LG operations at facilities in Portland, Ore., Romeoville, Ill., and Orlando, Fla., as well as continued operations at the existing Fort Worth site. The expanded agreement with LG allows a 40 percent increase in personnel and 100 percent increase in square footage.

The new facilities will range in size from 50,000 to 500,000 square feet. The scope of work will include Greatwide employees performing all warehouse-associated tasks, with the company responsible for efficiently receiving, putting away, cycle counting, picking, processing and shipping LG commercial electronics and digital appliances.

“Earning the right to expand our partnership with LG Electronics is a major milestone in the development of our growth strategy,” says Ray Greer, chief executive officer of Greatwide Logistics Services, based in Dallas. “It would be hard to imagine that LG would have expanded their relationship fourfold without the dedication of our team in Fort Worth over the last three years. We are thrilled to have started operations at three new locations and are proud to be their warehousing and distribution logistics firm of choice.”
