Qualcomm Incorporated, a provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, announced Vision 2010, its third annual users conference for transportation and logistics customers and partners. Vision 2010 will take place Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2010 at the historic Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.

This year’s theme is “Magnify Your ROI” and conference speakers and breakout sessions will focus on ways for participating companies to gain maximum value from their vehicle telematics systems and services. Customer case study presentations will offer important peer-to-peer learning opportunities.

Gov. Bill Graves, president and CEO of American Trucking Associations, the national trade and safety organization of the United States trucking industry, headlines an agenda that includes industry expert presentations, case studies, interactive sessions and a technology fair. Jim Craig, a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic hockey team member and gold medalist, is confirmed as the featured guest speaker. The film “Miracle on Ice” was based on the story of Craig and his teammates who beat the odds and accomplished one of the most extraordinary and memorable sports victories of all time.

“Carriers are currently facing a number of challenges, including an uncertain economic outlook, fluctuating fuel prices and new regulations,” said Norm Ellis, vice president of transportation and logistics sales and service for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “Vision 2010 will offer practical tools, tips and technologies designed to help them meet these challenges, now and in the future.”

Conference sessions target senior managers, MIS, operations, fleet, maintenance and safety personnel, and will help them gain new insights into innovations designed to improve return on their technology investments, the company says. Designed to be highly interactive, Vision 2010 will provide ample opportunity for attendees to ask questions, get information of particular relevance to their fleet operations, and experience hands-on demonstrations of the latest platforms and services from Qualcomm and its industry partners.
