Advantage PressurePro, provider of the PressurePro Tire Pressure Monitoring products and technology, announced its partnership with PeopleNet, a provider of Internet-based onboard computing and mobile communications systems for the transportation industry. The partnership enables PeopleNet to integrate PressurePro’s Tire Pressure Monitoring capabilities with its legacy systems, beginning with its BLU in-cab PC.

“As the first PeopleNet system with fully integrated Tire Pressure Monitoring, the BLU in-cab PC will provide fleets with yet another tool for optimizing vehicle performance efficiency with greater MPG, improved safety and lower maintenance costs,” says Randy Boyles, PeopleNet’s vice president of integration. “Partnerships with leaders in complementary technologies help us provide our customers with an increasingly comprehensive array of tools they need for minimizing cost drivers across their businesses.”

Utilizing the PLC network for communication between the trailer and tractor, this integration will add Tire Pressure Monitoring to PeopleNet’s existing capabilities, which include tracking, electronic onboard recording, vehicle and driver performance management, automated driver workflow, electronic hours of service and more; in addition, it will add trailer management capabilities. The enhancement will be available by the end of the second quarter.

“PeopleNet not only remains the leading mobile communications and onboard computing provider, they are consistently known for their customer-driven innovation and leading edge technology,” says Phillip Zaroor, president and chief executive officer of PressurePro. “As pioneers of TPMS, we couldn’t be happier to begin working with PeopleNet to add new capabilities, including top-of-the-line Tire Pressure Monitoring, to their already advanced line of products.”
