June 24 webinar to address potential for driver shortage

user-gravatar Headshot

Freight’s coming back. At the same time, new and proposed regulations threaten to drive thousands of drivers from the industry. As the recession winds down, many carriers could be hamstrung by a serious shortage of drivers able to withstand the scrutiny of Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010, enhanced pre-employment screening and possibly tighter health regulations.

To address these trends, analyst Noel Perry and fleet executive Tom Kretsinger Jr. will present “The emerging driver shortage” at 3 p.m. CT Thursday, June 24. This free one-hour webinar, sponsored by ACS, is part of the monthly webinar series from CCJ sister publications Overdrive and Truckers News.

Perry is managing director and senior consultant of FTR Associates, a provider of freight transportation forecasting, and principal of Transport Fundamentals. Kretsinger is president and chief operating officer of American Central Transport and holds leadership positions with the Truckload Carriers Association.
