Vision Logistics hires new CIO

Vision Logistics announced the addition of Cheryl Pieper as chief information officer. Pieper brings more than 13 years of experience as a leader of information technology, helping several transportation companies develop cutting-edge strategies.

Before joining Vision Logistics, Pieper was at Waste Management Inc., where she drove a number of company initiatives, creating strategic roadmaps and producing more than 150 bottom-line improvements. She has led a number of successful projects, including SAP’s first U.S. waste and recycling solution. Pieper also served in IT leadership roles at J. B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., and YRC Worldwide Inc.

“Cheryl has extensive experience in all facets of information technology leadership, and her work has delivered solid results,” says Tom Perdue, chief executive officer of Vision Logistics. “We’re excited to have Cheryl on our team, and we know her expertise will help us achieve Vision’s goals.”

Vision Logistics maintains more than 130 truck terminals and a fleet of more than 2,800 trucks managed by owner-operators.
