Flying J, Comdata reach agreement for card acceptance

Flying J Inc., which operates a large network of full-service travel plazas and fuel stops, announced Friday, June 4, that Comdata methods of payment now will be accepted at more than 250 Flying J locations across the United States and Canada.

“We are pleased an agreement has been made that will enable Flying J to immediately accept Comdata cards at our locations,” says Crystal Maggelet, president and chief executive officer of Flying J, based in Ogden, Utah. “This arrangement will provide a new payment method that will enable more motor carriers and professional drivers to have access to Flying J’s fuel network and state-of-the-art highway hospitality services.”

Comdata specializes in payment processing and data management products for the trucking industry. “We look forward to renewing our partnership with Flying J and are excited about the additional value this brings to our customers,” says Brett Rodewald, president of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Comdata.
