Eaton Corp. earned two Master of Quality awards from Daimler Trucks North America. Eaton was recognized for outstanding performance in 2009 for the company’s clutch and transmission operations in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The San Luis Potosi facility manufactures and supplies Eaton’s complete lineup of medium- and heavy-duty clutches and manual and automated transmissions for all Class 6, 7 and 8 DTNA vehicles.

“Daimler Trucks North America is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost truck manufacturers,” says Tim Sinden, president of Eaton Truck Division North America. “So it is very much an honor to have them acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our transmission and clutch teams. This award also reconfirms Eaton’s position as one of the industry’s top tier-one suppliers.”

In notifying Eaton of the awards, Carsten Kirchholtes, general manager of procurement for DTNA, and Paul Romanaggi, general manager quality and supplier management for DTNA, both noted that Eaton’s efforts toward meeting DTNA’s demanding requirements and expectations were appreciated by everyone at DTNA, as well as by its dealers and end-customers.
