Grote Industries, a provider of high-performance LED lighting technology for the transportation industry, has appointed William Stone to lead its existing quality management team from his new vantage point as quality director. Stone has 27 years of experience in OEM and tier-one automotive manufacturing environments, including eight years in multisite quality management roles. Stone also has significant expertise in lean manufacturing protocols, as well as ISO 9001, TS 16949, AS 9100 and ISO 14001 quality systems, and is a Six Sigma black belt.

“As we continue to expand our business globally, we will remain focused on cultivating and attracting talent that will bring the experience necessary to keep Grote out in front of the industry,” says Dominic Grote, president and chief operating officer. “Bill brings a diverse background and a broad and valuable range of experience to this new position.”

Stone’s career has included engagements with Eaton, Kelsey-Hayes, Ford and GM. He also has worked with Textron Fastening Systems and with Trans-Pro, setting up quality systems throughout the United States, Mexico and China.
