Freightliner Trucks announced the launch of “Slice of Life Season 2: Reloaded for 2010.” The kickoff for the program, which provides owner-operators a “Slice of Life” in a Freightliner Cascadia, was held at the Penske Racing Headquarters in Mooresville, N.C.

At the launch event, the Slice of Life drivers – Henry Albert, Kurt Grote, Dick McCorkle and the program’s newest participant, Gina Angsten – each received new 2010 Cascadia trucks equipped with 2010 Detroit Diesel DD15 engines featuring BlueTec selective catalytic reduction emissions technology. The new trucks also feature personalized wrap graphics with themes requested by the drivers. During Season 2, the drivers will continue to blog about their impressions of their trucks and engines on www.SliceofTruckerLife.com.

“Given the extremely positive feedback we received about the Cascadia and DD15 from the participants during the first year of the Slice of Life, we are looking forward to hearing about their impressions of their new trucks and engines,” says Melissa Clausen, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks.
