Werner Enterprises affiliate Raul Pedraza, founder and president of Magno International, recently was named to the President’s Export Council, recognized as the principal national advisory committee on global trade. With station locations throughout the United States and Latin America, Magno International is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) that provides cost-effective logistics solutions to more than 200 countries.

Werner Enterprises says it has had an ongoing strategic alliance with Magno, which has allowed Werner Enterprises to offer customers a proven and reliable large-scale asset-backed distribution and logistics network in conjunction with a diversity supplier platform. Werner says this alliance also has provided Magno increased exposure in the marketplace and access to Werner Enterprises’ assets, including nearly 7,300 trucks and 25,000 trailers.

“Raul’s recent appointment further validates the business decisions we have made and highlights our commitment of providing our customers with supplier diversity solutions,” says Greg Werner, president and chief executive officer of Omaha, Neb.-based Werner Enterprises. “Utilizing our shared resources has resulted in more robust logistics offerings and has allowed us to provide solutions to customers committed to supplier diversity. Our asset-backed strength across modes and technology, combined with Magno’s load control capabilities throughout the U.S. and Latin America, has resulted in a number of joint development projects.”
