Slice of Life drivers, Chrome Shop Mafia on tap for Freightliner at GATS

Freightliner Trucks announced its booth lineup and schedule for the Great American Trucking Show at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas Aug. 26-28. The Freightliner Trucks booth (No. 12113) will feature the Paralyzed Veterans of America truck, a custom Cascadia designed to honor America’s veterans; a tricked-out Coronado and a tricked-out Cascadia created by the Chrome Shop Mafia; and Gina Angsten’s personalized Slice of Life truck, a 2010 Cascadia equipped with a Detroit Diesel DD15 engine featuring BlueTec emissions technology.

Slice of Life: Reloaded participants Angsten, Henry Albert, Kurt Grote and Dick McCorkle will be on hand in the Freightliner Trucks booth to provide an overview and answer questions about their experiences about the program. “GATS attendees will find some of our industry’s latest and most innovative offerings in the Freightliner Trucks booth,” says Melissa Clausen, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “Freightliner Trucks is dedicated to providing small fleets and owner-operators with the best products and services to help them run smart.”

Additional special appearances and events taking place at GATS include:
• Freightliner Trucks is co-sponsoring the Partners in Business seminar that will take place on Friday, Aug. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Room D222. Partners in Business provides owner-operators with strategies for running a successful business;
• Show attendees also can view Albert, Grote and Dick McCorkle’s customized Slice of Life Freightliner trucks in the Custom Rigs Pride and Polish Truck Beauty Competition; and
• Benjamin Smith, manager, product strategy for Freightliner Trucks, will participate in a panel discussion on “Future Truck and Trailer Technology” on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m., in Ballroom C.
