The Commercial Vehicle Undercarriage business of Marmon Highway Technologies has hired J.T. Weis as president of the newly formed Brake & Wheel Ends Group. Weis’ past experience includes most recently as president, Total Filtration Services with Clarcor; and general management positions with Valeo SA. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Allied Signal and Tenneco Corp.
“J.T. comes with a wealth of experience in our industry, having held significant leadership positions in the global arena,” says Pedro Ferro, president of MHT Undercarriage. “We are especially pleased that he will be leading our newly formed Brake & Wheel Ends Group as we focus on our commercial vehicle stopping distance components.”
Based in Cullman, Ala., the Brake & Wheel Ends Group initially will be comprised of brands such as Webb Wheel, TSE Brakes and Leland Brakes. BWE, under Weis’ leadership, will focus on delivering value to commercial vehicle customers through innovative products and outstanding customer support, quality and delivery capabilities. With its Cullman R&D Center, BWE is capable of developing CV brake components as a system.
Reporting directly to Weis will be Jason Gerding, president, TSE and Leland Brakes; Duane Ricketts, president, Webb Wheel Aftermarket; Kent Finkbiner, president, Webb Wheel OEM; Randy McGuire, president, Webb Wheel Transit; and Tom Hewer, vice president, research and development.
