For the fifth consecutive year, Hornady Transportation Co. was honored with a Silver Award from Great West Casualty Co. as part of its 2009 National Safety Awards Program. This award recognizes Hornady’s outstanding safety record and the company’s hard work in preventing accidents.
“We are very proud to receive this award for another year,” says Jim Bobzien, safety director. “Without a great safety record, we don’t function. We’re very satisfied that our drivers are doing an excellent job for us.”
The National Safety Award program is based on year-end preventable accident results for carriers in similar truckload and less-than-truckload operations. This past year the program drew more than 800 participants from across the country.
