ALK Technologies Inc. announced the successful certification and integration of PC Miler 24 and PC Miler Tolls 24 by strategic alliance partner TMW Systems. ALK says PC Miler’s 24th annual edition includes critical map data updates such as truck restrictions and truck-specific toll costs.
ALK is demonstrating PC Miler 24 at the TMW Systems TransForum User Conference and Exhibition at this week’s Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. TMW Systems, a software provider to logistics firms, trucking, construction, utility and municipal fleets, says it has certified the new PC Miler release to ensure their customers take advantage of the new enhancements.

ALK says PC Miler 24 is integrated with technology solutions offered by TMW Systems’ tools for billing, driver pay and managing operating costs. PC Miler is designed to reduce out-of-route mileage, saving time, tolls and fuel. PC Miler 24 provides a substantial map data update encompassing 627,000 new and updated North American truck restrictions and 21,700 miles of new and updated truck-restricted roadway.
The recently updated map data includes 3.52 million commercial truck restrictions such as bridge heights, clearances and load limits. Its 427,600 urban road designations are added to help keep commercial vehicles out of city centers and on designated truck-through routes around the city.
New features and enhancements to PC Miler’s truck-specific digital map data include:
• Least Cost Routing that generates optimal routes based on custom fuel efficiency and operating cost settings;
• Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions estimator that calculates carbon footprint per route;
• Comparison Reports that analyze multiple routes, or the effect of different routing options on the same route; and
• Free quarterly updates of U.S. ZIP Codes.
PC Miler is integrated with a number of technology solutions offered by TMW Systems, including optimization software products IDSC ExpertFuel, IDSC TripAlert and IDSC MatchAdvice, and can be incorporated with the full range of enterprise transportation software hosting now offered by TMW Managed Services.
