Penske Truck Leasing has appointed Art Vallely as senior vice president of rental and vehicle management, and Jennifer Sockel as vice president of administration.
Vallely, who became senior vice president of rental in 2006, now has added vehicle management responsibilities, which includes vehicle supply, vehicle remarketing and non-vehicle procurement. He joined Penske in 1992 as an area rental manager for the Mid-Atlantic Area and ascended to district manager roles in Landover, Md. and North Bergen, N.J. In 2000, Vallely was named general manager for Penske Utility Rental and became vice president of commercial rental in 2001.
Sockel previously was named vice president of real estate in 2005. In addition to oversight of real estate activities, Sockel now is responsible for facilities, energy and telecommunications. She was hired by Penske in 1998 as counsel in the legal department.
