Man pleads guilty for impersonating medical review officer

A federal judge sentenced Michael R. Bennett of Workplace Compliance Inc. of Texas and North Carolina to 22 months in federal prison for crimes related to his fraudulently acting as a medical review officer on Department of Transportation-regulated drug tests without being a licensed physician.

Bennett, who pled guilty in February to wire fraud and making false statements, also was directed to make restitution in the amount of $209,030 along with other penalties.
