Ryder names Pattek VP/marketing, Fleet Management Solutions

Ryder System announced the appointment of Sheryl Pattek as vice president of marketing for its Fleet Management Solutions business segment, where she will be responsible for supporting FMS business growth with new product and service marketing, driving demand for existing products and services, as well as providing marketing support to the sales organization.

“Sheryl is a proven leader in developing and executing marketing strategy as well as strong demand generation and brand awareness programs that consistently lead to revenue growth,” says John Gleason, Ryder’s senior vice president of sales and
marketing for Fleet Management Solutions. “We look forward to her leadership and expertise in developing strategies and products to further penetrate growth markets.”

Pattek brings to Ryder more than 20 years of experience in marketing strategy and management. She comes to Ryder from digital document solutions company, Océ North America, where she served as vice president of marketing services for production printing systems, responsible for leading an integrated marketing team that played a key role in driving sales and supporting business strategy and growth. Previously, she served as vice president of marketing for Daleen Technologies, a provider of billing and customer care software for the telecom industry, where she was responsible for an integrated marketing team of product management and marketing, marketing communications, demand creation, public relations and investor relations.

Prior to joining Daleen, Pattek served as director of worldwide marketing communications for software provider Citrix Systems, where she had responsibility for corporate communications, demand generation programs, events, public relations, analyst relations and sales support tools, where she developed corporate marketing strategies that supported 30 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Earlier, she had an 11-year career with Digital Equipment Corp., for which she served as director of marketing for Latin America and the Caribbean.
