Saia Inc. Announced that it has been named the 2009-2010 Interregional Carrier of the Year by CoLinx, a manufacturer-owned provider of shared e-commerce and logistics services in North America. “We are honored by this recognition and proud of our partnership with CoLinx,” says Rick O’Dell, Saia president and chief executive officer.
Since forming in 2001, CoLinx has grown to include operations in seven locations with more than 800 employees billing over $60 million annually in service revenue. The company operates shared warehouses, a transportation network in addition to freight bill audit and payment services, a foreign trade zone and a variety of information technology services.
“We value Saia’s loyalty,” says Roger Schumann, CoLinx’s vice president of transportation services. “We appreciate the efforts all Saia employees made on behalf of CoLinx.”
At the end of the third quarter, Saia says that at the end of the third quarter, it posted 97.1 percent on-time service and 99.6 percent pick-up performance. The Johns Creek, Ga.-based company’s “Exception-free Delivery” performance for November 2010 was 98.5 percent.
