Pressure Systems International has recognized Fed Ex Freight as its Fleet of the Year for the second consecutive time. Frank Sonzala, executive vice president for PSI, presented the 2009 award to Dan Umpress, MD vehicle solutions for Fed Ex Freight. FedEx Freight, along with FedEx Ground and FedEx Express, also received the Fleet of the Year designation in 2008.
“Suppliers to the trailer industry, like PSI, have had a challenging couple of years,” Sonzala says. “It’s only with the support of fleets like FedEx Freight that the percent of trailers equipped with the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI continues to grow.”
Also present during the award ceremony representing PSI were Mike Niemeyer, director – fleet sales of North and Central America; and Kevin Hennig, vice president, technical development.
