Technicians honored at ASE annual meeting

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence recently honored the top scorers on the ASE Certification Tests. “ASE has been honoring the best of the best in our industry for more than 30 years, and this year we recognized 38 outstanding individuals from all across the nation,” says Tim Zilke, ASE president and chief executive officer. “We couldn’t do this without the support of our many award sponsors, whose ranks include some of the best-known names in the industry. Their commitment to excellence is reflected in the talented individuals we recognize each year.”

Heavy Duty Technician winners include:
• Freightliner/ASE Master M/H Truck Technician of the Year — Jason Britton, FYDA Freightliner – Columbus, Ohio;
• Sterling/Western Star/ASE Master M/H Truck Technician of the Year — Steven Mitchell, La Crosse Truck Center – La Crosse, Wis.;
• Navistar/ASE Master M/H Truck Technician of the Year — Robert Ball, Maudlin International Trucks – Orlando, Fla.;
• Navistar/ASE Master School Bus Technician of the Year — Drew Matalis, Chicago International Trucks – Carol Stream, Ill.;
• Navistar/ASE Parts Specialist of the Year — Gary McMains, O’Halloran International – Altoona, Iowa;
• Navistar/ASE Truck Paint & Refinish Technician of the Year— Brian Troxel, O’Halloran International – Altoona; and
• Peterbilt/ASE Master M/H Truck Technician of the Year — Michael Willoughby, Rush Truck Center of Oklahoma City – Oklahoma City.
