Tridako Energy Systems Inc. announced Friday, Dec. 17, that Nebraska Machinery Co. formally has signed on as a worldwide distributor of its PowerCube auxiliary power units. NMC, a Caterpillar dealer, supplies Tridako with the 2-cylinder Tier 4 engine used in the PowerCube APUs.
“Our strategic partnership, formalized today, will help both companies expand their product offerings outside their traditional areas of expertise,” says Dan Koch, president of Tridako, based in Alliance, Neb. “I’m very pleased to be part of the concerted effort and look forward to the economic and structural growth for both Nebraska-based companies.”
Since October 2008, Omaha-based NMC and Tridako have partnered to market and distribute the PowerCube throughout the United States, developing dealers while gaining a broad customer base and brand recognition. The companies say the new agreement solidifies the position of both firms, aligning personnel and financial commitment to market and distribute the PowerCube APU. Additionally, NMC says it also is committed to expanding the market worldwide, with initial emphasis in Australia, Brazil and South Africa.
Tridako says that since March 2008 when the PowerCube debuted, it has been gaining recognition by Caterpillar executives, military vendors, brand-loyal customers and transportation companies nationwide. Tridako says that with the release of the newest PowerCube APUs, models HC5128 and HC5124, customer interest has surged, leading to the formal agreement.
