The Truckload Carriers Association announced that its 2012 Driver of the Year competition is officially open. TCA has teamed up with CCJ sister publications Overdrive and Truckers News to name the nation’s top drivers, and nominations are accepted every summer. Owner-operator and company driver finalists are featured in Overdrive and Truckers News, respectively, the following year, and the winners are announced the next year.
The competition is open to drivers who log the majority of their miles in the truckload segment. Nominees should have strong records in safety, professional accomplishment and contributions to the industry and their communities. Nominations will be accepted until 5 pm E.T. on Sept. 15.
