MCSAC to work on roadside violation weightings, cross-border oversight

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee will meet this month to complete action on tasks related to patterns of safety violations by motor carrier management, and will begin work on tasks related to roadside violation severity weightings in the Carrier Safety Measurement System in FMCSA’s Compliance Safety Accountability program, as well as tasks regarding oversight of the agency’s long-haul cross-border trucking pilot program.

The meeting will be held Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET and on Wednesday, June 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. The meeting will be open to the public for its duration, and oral comments from the public will be heard during the last hour of each day of the meeting.

Written comments on the meeting topics must be submitted by Wednesday, June 15, to Federal Docket Management System Docket Number FMCSA-2006-26367 at www.regulations.gov.
