Hermann Services announced that it has completed the restructuring of its Southwest warehouse management team to take full advantage of its strategically located facilities backed by its large fleet of transportation equipment. John Murphy, executive vice president of Hermann Warehousing Corp. who joined Hermann Services in July of 2010, has assumed executive responsibility for the operation. Tom Diego has been named general manager of Hermann Services Southwest. Both bring vast experience in large-scale floor operations and logistics to the table.

Hermann says its Southwest facility offers expandable space that can handle any type of product, including commodities, retail merchandise, food, and hazmat materials. The facility conducts large-scale transload and dock-unload operations that are supported by its local transportation division, while technology allows clients use to track inventory, place orders and have secure visibility of their operations.

Prior to joining Houston-based Hermann Services, Diego served as general manager for NLS (now NFI), handling its contract client, Georgia Pacific, for the past six years. He also has served as general manager at Exel Logistics and as regional manager for Amware Logistics.
