Weber Logistics names Drajpuch president, CEO

Weber Logistics, a third-party logistics and supply chain management provider, announced that Harry Drajpuch has been named president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Drajpuch, who has more than 30 years of experience in the 3PL industry, will provide direction and executive leadership to advance all areas of the organization by aligning Weber more closely with customers while driving profitable growth and shareholder value.

Drajpuch will oversee the executive management team to ensure efficiency, quality, service levels and cost-effective management of resources. He is based out of the company’s headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and reports directly to Weber’s board of advisers.

Drajpuch most recently was with Kane is Able as chief operating officer, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company, including operations, sales, strategic planning, human resources, IT and customer service. In this position, Drajpuch oversaw more than 1,300 employees, 17 distribution centers, 8 million square feet and a fleet of more than 700 trailers. During his tenure at Kane, he doubled revenues while expanding the company’s geographic territory throughout the United States.

Prior to Kane is Able, Drajpuch was with USCO Logistics Services, a division of Kuehne and Nagel, over a 15-year period. As executive vice president and general manager of shared warehousing, order management and delivery solutions (transportation), he was responsible for sales and operations, 21 facilities in North America and more than 9 million square feet. Some of the company’s customers included Sun Microsystems, Wal-Mart and Home Depot.

While at USCO Logistics Services, Drajpuch also held the title of executive vice president/general manager of the company’s shared logistics division, where he was responsible for sales and operations, $100 million in revenue, 23 facilities and 950 employees. He directed four regional vice presidents and eight sales professionals across North America and was able to increase sales revenue by 100 percent and net income by 325 percent within three years.
