Saia Inc. has opened a new terminal in Bloomington, Ill. The addition of the 20-door facility terminal brings the total number of Saia facilities serving the state to six, the number of personnel employed in Illinois to nearly 300 and the company’s coverage to more than 10,500 direct points systemwide.
“Because the new facility is centrally located in Illinois, we can provide our customers with direct service to the entire midsection of the state,” says Paul Peck, vice president of eastern operations for the Johns Creek, Ga.-based company. “We have seen increased demand by shippers in this area. As such, we think this is an exciting opportunity for both the company and our customers.”
