Arsenault Associates, provider of Dossier fleet maintenance management software and solutions, announced that ATL Construction of East Bridgewater, Mass., has selected Dossier software to manage its fleet of construction assets. ATL operates 16 trucks plus excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, Bobcats and a variety of dump and flatbed trailers. Numerous snow-plowing contracts keep the ATL fleet working all year long.

Mark Denholm, ATL’s sales manager, says the company decided to take an organized, proactive approach to maintaining its assets. “We were band-aiding everything,” Denholm says. “We want to manage the fleet and make sure we’re getting the best utilization. We want to know which parts of the fleet need attention. We want to ascertain which units are costing more than they’re worth.”

Arsenault says that Dossier software can establish benchmarks like cost-per-mile for vehicles and cost-per-hour for equipment, making it possible to assess the overall efficiency of any given asset. Dossier also is designed to pinpoint recurring repairs and part replacements on any given piece of equipment, and can uncover underlying problems and offer the data to help decide if a particular unit should be repaired and maintained properly – or if it’s time to replace it.
