Meritor Inc. recently modernized its approach to promoting advanced products with the introduction of Meritor Mobile, an Apple iPad application that is an information tool custom-designed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of sales and service personnel in the commercial vehicle industry.
The company says Meritor Mobile provides a detailed portfolio of Meritor’s sales, maintenance and technical information in an intuitive and easy-to-use format. Meritor’s product portfolio and exceptional customer services are featured through nearly 800 files, including brochures, maintenance manuals, parts books, technical bulletins, images and videos.
“We realized how critical it was for the dealer sales staff to have the information available to immediately answer any questions a customer may have during the buying process,” says Matthew Stevenson, general manager of North American field operations and marketing. “Meritor Mobile can do that as well as offer details about servicing requirements. The version utilized by our sales team can be updated instantaneously, and users will have key Meritor product information literally at their fingertips, further strengthening our commitment to innovation.”
The application is designed for easy navigation to allow users to seek more detailed sales and service information in each of Meritor’s North American product lines. Each product line is laid out to allow users to quickly find what they are searching. It is now available for free download through the Apple App store and iTunes and is compatible with both generations of the Apple iPad. Nearly all of the content is stored locally, and a network connection is not required but it is recommended.
