DAS announced the acquisition of a number of brands – featuring Wilson, Francis and Astatic – into its RoadPro family of brands. DAS acquired all rights to the brands from Barjan, a privately-held distributor of general merchandise based in Rock Island, Ill. For decades, these brands have served professional drivers and CB enthusiasts across North America with antennas, radio microphones and CB accessories.

“Like our recent RoadKing acquisition, today we amplify our brand investments in our markets,” says Mike Abel, DAS president and chief executive officer. “These brands extend our proprietary RoadPro Brand Family with distinct great-fit products for our core consumers and business partners.”

DAS’s acquisition, terms of which were not announced, is effective immediately. DAS is transitioning existing inventories, manufacturing equipment and brand ownership to facilitate an effective transition for active customers.

“These brands fit nicely with our RoadKing, RoadPro and K40 brands of CB accessories,” says Steve Birli, vice president of Travel Center Sales. “It adds great synergy to our productive profit-building business partnerships. And we welcome the opportunity to serve new partners who currently buy these brands.”
