Saia Inc. announced that Mike Nix has been named the company’s vice president of maintenance and properties, responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and disposition of all real estate and operating equipment on behalf of the Johns Creek, Ga.-based company. A 20-year industry veteran, Nix has experience managing a large private fleet and most recently managed a logistics company in Brazil.
“Mike’s business experience and knowledge of the transportation industry will be a great benefit to the company,” says Rick O’Dell, Saia president and chief executive officer. “I look forward to his contributions and believe he will strengthen network and fleet management to further our outstanding customer service.”
