Penske Truck Leasing has opened a truck collision repair center in Annapolis Junction, Md. The center does collision, box and trailer repairs, vehicle refinishing and frame and alignment work for commercial trucks and vehicles. Penske is planning to hire nine new associates – six technicians and three administrative positions.

“The facility serves the needs of Penske’s own truck fleet and contract customers, as well as commercial truck fleets,” says James Svaasand, general manager of business ventures for Penske Truck Leasing. The 15,500-square-foot building is housed on 5.2 acres and uses light fixtures that reduce energy use by 50 percent.

The structure contains a high-efficiency paint spray booth designed to filter emissions while employing smart technology that helps minimize energy and fuel consumption, housing a high-tech air filtration system.

“Prior to opening this Annapolis Junction collision repair center, Penske vehicles and our customer’s vehicles were being serviced from our repair centers in Pennsylvania and North Carolina,” says Jack Gallagher, senior vice president – Northeast Region, Penske Truck Leasing. “Now, we are in the perfect position to attain new business in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas.”

The company’s 17th North American collision repair center located at 8820 Corridor Road is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 301-490-9150.
