Pegasus TransTech announced that Access America Transport has implemented its Transflo Velocity solution to provide a consistent electronic method for carriers to submit invoices and load documents to participating freight brokers and third-party logistics providers.
Access America Transport is a nonasset-based full-service transportation company based in Chattanooga, Tenn., with offices in Birmingham and Eufaula, Ala.; Columbus, Ohio; Atlanta; Minneapolis; and Knoxville, Tenn. The company works with more than 10,000 different carriers; more than 220 Access America brokers book from 1,500 to 2,000 loads per day.
Transflo Velocity is designed to make it easy for carriers to group documents and data a 3PL or freight broker might require and electronically transmit them together with an invoice for payment, saving money, reducing processing time and improving operating efficiency.
“We recently relocated our Chattanooga and Birmingham offices to allow room for expansion,” says Brent Ellis, Access America billing manager. “As far as getting paperwork into our system, Transflo Velocity is leaps and bounds easier. The documentation is cleaner.” Prior to Transflo Velocity the company had been using e-mail, fax and the U.S. Mail. “Transflo Velocity is just so much more efficient,” he says.
To use Transflo Velocity, a carrier downloads a free piece of software from www.transflovelocity.com that enables a carrier to capture and transmit documents and data electronically. Freight brokers receive the electronic transaction that packages the invoice with all supporting documentation for the load.
