EBE has been issued a patent dated January 29th, 2013 for the qualification process used in its SHIPS enterprise system which includes: Logistics Management, Driver Recruiting and Driver Management.

EBE says the patent recognizes how EBE makes use of the relationship between disparate data sources and a company’s unique qualification requirements. Additionally, EBE’s content management, collaborative internet document creation and integration services leverage the results sets from the qualification procedure to create the necessary documents to complete the on-boarding process, be it a driver, carrier, product or service.

Finally, integration with a carrier’s transportation management system, mobile communications provider or other back office system, completes the process.

“Our clients have migrated from reviewing and processing every document, data set and activity to working by exception. The now patented qualification process helps carriers and logistics providers to identify quality drivers and carriers more quickly and capitalize on an opportunity,” says Larry Kerr, EBE president.

EBE says it is in the process of pursuing additional patents that reflect enhancements in driver retention, days sales outstanding (DSO) and accessorial management.
