Diesel prices nationwide are 6.9 cents lower than the same week last year. It’s the first time since late May that the national average price was lower year over year.
Average prices fell in all regions, led by a 1.7-cent drop in the Gulf Coast region, which also is home to the nation’s lowest diesel prices on average at $3.824 a gallon. California remains the region with the highest diesel price on average at $4.128 a gallon.
