Lytx, Inc. (formerly DriveCam), a provider of driver safety and compliance systems, announced that Louisiana-based food distributor Church Point Wholesale has seen a significant reduction in accident claims since signing a multi-year contract to utilize the DriveCam powered by Lytx driver safety management system throughout its fleet. Church Point Wholesale has selected the DriveCam Program as part of its ongoing initiative to increase fleet safety and reduce claims.
Since implementing the DriveCam Program in March, Church Point Wholesale has received only one accident claim, which ultimately resulted in their driver’s exoneration following review of the DriveCam documented video recording of the event.
“The DriveCam Program has really improved the safety of our drivers, our company and the public,” said Rob Humble, Church Point Wholesale transportation manager. “It keeps our drivers’ minds on safety, and they are changing their behaviors. As a result, we’re seeing exponential benefits thanks to the money it’s saving us in claims.”
“Church Point Wholesale’s success with the DriveCam Program in a relatively short amount of time is a testament to the power of video and the increased driver accountability and awareness it inspires,” said Adam McCarty, DriveCam senior business manager. “The company’s commitment to safety and diligence in utilizing the program are also increasing its fleet efficiency and savings.”
DriveCam powered by Lytx helps to improve safety by combining data and video analytics with real-time driver feedback and coaching, resulting in decreased collision-related costs and fuel consumption. The DriveCam Program captures, scores, prioritizes and tracks the results of driving behaviors to identify improvement opportunities for increased safety and efficiency. In-vehicle video captures driving behavior, is reviewed and scored within hours by certified professionals, and is then passed on to the fleet safety or operations manager to coach driver improvement.
Fleets manage the DriveCam Program through DriveCam Online, a web-based online portal to monitor fleet performance, prioritize events for coaching, and provide the necessary tools to improve driver behavior.
