Omnitracs, a provider of fleet management systems to transportation and logistics companies, announced that it is a 2014 American Business Awards finalist in the customer service department of the year category.
Honoring the achievements and positive contributions made by prominent organizations and business leaders worldwide, The American Business Awards will recognize finalists with Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Awards at a banquet in Chicago, taking place June 13, 2014.
Omnitracs emerged as a top candidate in the category for its updated Hours of Service (HOS) application, which automates driver logs and is fully compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations’ (FMCSA) latest electronic logging device (ELD) regulations. Additionally, the company was recognized for its corresponding customer service initiative also designed to help fleet customers comply with the new industry regulations. The initiative consisted of an educational webinar offering customers details about changing and new regulations, the creation of an informative website, an email campaign highlighting key changes to the company’s HOS application and an updated customer portal complete with helpful resources.
