Lytx, a global provider of video-based driver safety technology, opened up its new global headquarters in the heart of San Diego’s technology hub.

The company said the move highlights its continued growth trajectory fueled by the success of its more than 1,300 clients. The fourth quarter of 2014 marked Lytx’s 25th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth.

The new 75,000 square-foot headquarters provides 67 percent more space than Lytx’s previous home and includes a host of design features and spaces. Campus features include:

  • More than 40 collaboration spaces to provide room for innovation and productivity.
  • A state-of-the-art lab for Lytx’s research and engineering teams.
  • A specialized demonstration room to showcase and trial Lytx’s latest technology developments.
  • Natural light and beautiful views for all employees to enjoy the San Diego way of life.
  • Beautiful outdoor areas to give employees green space to think and collaborate or enjoy a meal from the new café.

“The new headquarters is simply the beginning of a transformative year for Lytx,” said Brandon Nixon, chairman and CEO. “We have just celebrated historic milestones of more than 200,000 subscriptions in service, and experienced a 150 percent increase in employee growth.”

Lytx was launched in 1998 in San Diego as a result of a road-rage incident where the company founders had a mission to capture what was actually happening in a traffic incident. Today, the company serves customers like Waste Management, Sysco, Con-way Freight and Greyhound.
