Freightliner Trucks named the Work Truck Show‘s host city, Indianapolis, Ind., as its first “Hardest Working City” honoree March 4, with the announcement coming at the show itself.

The new program is designed to promote cities in both the U.S. and Canada that are investing in infrastructure and economic growth to revitalize communities and the role that vocational trucks play in those efforts.

As part of the campaign, Freightliner will hosts celebratory events in each honoree city, including coffee and donut visits to high-profile jobsites as well as larger celebrations at Freightliner dealers. A celebration will be held at Stoops Freightliner in Indianapolis on March 6 while coffee and donuts will be delivered to selected jobsites around the city that morning.

Freightliner says cities to be honored by the new program were selected based on 11 different criteria ranging from impact on overall gross domestic product to employment growth and performance in key industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing and logistics.
