The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is set to publish April 3 a Final Rule increasing fine levels across the board for violations of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The increased fines will take effect 60 days from the April 3 publication.

The increases are meant to account for inflation, FMCSA says, and were mandated by 2012’s MAP-21 highway funding law.
